AALHE
I am at the AALHE (Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education) inaugural conference in Lexington, Kentucky. What a beautiful campus! I am here with two colleagues, and we are learning a lot and having fun. Even better, I was able to eat dinner with a dear college friend whom I haven't seen since our Hyde Park days.Interestingly (to me anyway), a woman named "Amie Ellis" is also in attendance. For an inaugural conference, this is amazing. While the sessions are of uneven quality, the information we've received has helped me in thinking of assessment at the School of Business. Many faculty members hate assessment, but I am an anomaly; I think it is fun, much like a puzzle.

Walter
Recently, a swap was listed on swap-bot that instructed participants to draw a photograph of their dog in the area where a message usually would go. I thought it was such a great idea, then I realized I couldn't draw, but it was too late to withdraw. So, I did my best to capture him:

Fence Fundraiser: Ithaca Dog Park

Did you know the Ithaca Dog Park doesn't receive any funding from the local, county, or state government for operations or capital improvements? Instead, all funds come from private donations. Currently, the dog park is raising funds for a permanent fence. Can you believe that this is the fence that currently protects our precious furkids?

The dog park is trying to raise $10,000 today, tomorrow, and Sunday. If we can hit that target, we have a pledge for a matching donation. Then, we'll get a permanent fence like the gates at the park.

Please donate a little or a lot, whatever is in your budget! If you donate $150 or more, you are eligible for a plaque.

Donate here!
