Past Halloweens
Judging from how few Halloween photos I could find from childhood, it seems Devil's Night was not a big event in Ardmore. (I even had to use one tap dance recital costume to fill out the collage!) I don't think I dressed up at all in middle and high school. Most of the costumes here were conceived and/or created by my mother or grandma. I bet GM had fun sewing those Ewok suits!

More Zentangle Postcards
I signed up for a Zentangle Postcard Swap on swap-bot. The only design limitation was a leaf somewhere on the postcard. I made the bottom zentangle first, but didn't like it enough to send, so I created the top one, which I liked much better.

Stolen Peace
Last month, someone stole the peace pole near Muller Pond. That is so wrong! Just thinking about it makes me angry. I was in denial for some time, but on Monday walked to the gaping hole. I really can't get over it. It takes a real asshole to steal a symbol of peace and compassion.

Ten Ways
Libuse Binder, author of Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties, visited my Business Sustainability class today. She was very fun, and my students did a great job participating.
One of the students asked, of the 10 strategies, which is the most important. Libuse said that she recommended volunteering: it helps you uncover your passion, gives you connections, and provides experience.
In your 20s or not, are you volunteering regularly?
