IC Snowperson
This snowman was built near the IC fountains. I love how it appears he's looking out over Cayuga Lake.

Labyrinth
I was taking photographs of this labyrinth before my 4:00 class. A few of the students were interested in what I was doing, and I explained that the maze was a means of meditation and reflection. About fifteen minutes into class, one of the students shouted, "Look, they're walking!" While I usually don't like such interruptions, that was amusing to me. I told the students they could get up and look at the people who were walking the labyrinth's path. One of my students recognized the school's rabbi, and realized this was part of his meditation class.
It was very interesting, and believe it or not, I was able to relate it to the topic of the day. While walking a labyrinth appeals to me, being outside in the winter does not, so I haven't taken advantage of this temporary walking circle yet. I supposed I don't have much time.
There is a labyrinth society (http://www.labyrinthsociety.org/) to promote and support those interested in walking circles. Here is an introduction to them from the InterWeb (http://www.angelfire.com/tn/SacredLabyrinth/).

iPhone
My iPhone arrived today. Unfortunately, the FedEx delivery person went to our back door which is our basement door and doesn't have a door bell. Neither of us heard the knock, so we missed the delivery and had to go to the FedEx office after 5:00 to pick it up. I was afraid we wouldn't make it since the truck wouldn't back out of the garage due to the build up of ice, but George saved the day despite my nasty mood.
Isn't it pretty? Even the packaging is sleek and elegant! Since I never talk on the phone, though, I've used it mostly for games!

Leaping Bunny
Are you familiar with this symbol, the "leaping bunny"? The certification is awarded to companies who voluntarily eliminate animal testing from their ingredients and finished products and agree to The Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals. Administered by the Coalition for Consumer Information on cosmetics, it is the most stringent certification for no animal testing, and is backed up by independently performed audits.
I look for the leaping bunny whenever I shop for personal care or household products. Want to know if a company whose products you use are certified? The Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide is available online or an an app for the iPhone or android phone.
Here's a short video that explains why you should choose cruelty-free:
