Little Cabin in the Woods

My mother and I sang this song when I was a very young child:

I've never known a time in my life when I wasn't fiercely protective of animals. Even in high school, I remember terrible arguments with country boys who would go hunting for fun. I can't imagine not being vegan now. What I can't understand is why it took so long.
